We left Beaufort in beautiful, flat water but experienced our first strong currents…we are always learning! We spent a couple of days heading down the North Carolina coast and got very close to the ocean as we crossed several ocean inlets.
The homes along the way are amazing. They are often very large with private docks and generally new. The area is so fragile and often in the path of named storms…they just keep rebuilding.
Yesterday, we crossed a very skinny cut that led to the Cape Fear River, then onto South Carolina. We’re making progress but still aren’t sure where we’ll be for 🦃!!
